eBay stories - the latest "fad"?

Recently I've received a number of links to eBay items for sale. Not because the item was any big thing, but because the post (description, etc.) was so funny. Today I got one for a wedding dress. An interesting thing to note, besides the fact that the description was rather funny was:

• It cost $1200 and sold for $3850
• The guy that sold it is going to be on radio shows and on the Today show!

Who would have thought? And now I've got friends (who regularly sell stuff on eBay) thinking they should put some humor into their descriptions and see what kind of money they can make.
